Conference signs are mostly about state: which session is in this room, whether registration is open, where the queue starts. The useful ones answer the question a person is holding as they walk up, and nothing else.
Put the room's current state in the text and leave the rest of the screen quiet. A registration desk running a calm blue line reads as organised; the same desk running a rainbow gradient reads as a stall at a fair, which is not the impression most events are paying for.
Assign one person to change it. Conference signage goes stale faster than any other kind because the schedule moves and everyone assumes somebody else is updating the screen. If nobody owns it, put the day's fixed information on it rather than the session, and let it be right all day.
Conference
Hall and session names belong on this Template. Put the track letter first so people walking the corridor can match a map. Slow the scroll; conference lighting is already busy.
