A specials board is only true until the kitchen changes its mind. That is the whole reason to run it on a screen instead of a chalkboard: you can correct it in the ten seconds between a table ordering the last portion and the next table walking in.
Name the dish and the price. Skip the adjectives — nobody has ever been persuaded by “delicious” on a scrolling sign, and every extra word pushes the price further from the eye. One dish per loop reads better than three.
The failure mode worth guarding against is a sign that lies. If the kitchen sells out, change the text before the next customer reads it. A specials board that advertises something you cannot serve costs more goodwill than having no board at all.

Daily specials change; the Template is only a starting LED. Swap the dish name every service. If the kitchen 86s an item, change the Text before the Preview lies to the room.
