OBS Browser Source LED Ticker (Not the Scroll Filter)
Add this LED scroller to OBS as a Browser Source. This is not the OBS Text scroll filter tutorial. Use it when you want a live ticker you can edit in the browser.
OBS already has a scroll filter on Text sources. If you want that, use OBS's own filter. This page is the other job: put the LED Scroller Preview in the scene as a Browser Source so you can edit Text in a browser while you are live.
Why a browser source instead of the filter
The filter is local, locked to one Text source, and styled with whatever font OBS loaded. A browser source is a live page. You can change Text, color, and speed in the Editor, share the URL with a producer, or keep the same ticker on a phone and in OBS.
Use the filter when you will never leave OBS. Use this Editor when the ticker is a small LED banner you already built in the browser.
Add the Preview to a scene
1. In the Editor, set Text and look until the Preview is the banner you want.
2. Copy the page URL. If you applied a Template, the share link carries the current Text.
3. In OBS, add a Browser Source.
4. Paste the URL. Start with a width that matches the ticker strip (for example 1920x200 for a bottom bar, or a square for a corner bug).
5. Place the source above gameplay or camera. Crop in OBS if you only want the Preview, not the controls.
If the page chrome is in the way, size the source to the Preview, or load the shared URL on a machine used only for that strip.
Readability on stream
Viewers see compressed video. High contrast and slower speed survive bitrate drops. Thin fonts and rainbow cycles do not. One line of Text. No paragraph.
A transparent overlay is a different product. This Editor uses an opaque Preview on purpose so the LED field stays readable. Give it a dedicated region in the layout. Do not float it over faces.
