LED banner maker
Make an LED banner in the browser and play it fullscreen. Use it on a phone in a crowd, a tablet at arrivals, or a laptop on a store counter. There is nothing to download or install and no account to make. It is not a shop for ordering an outdoor cabinet.
Make a banner you can hold up
Type a short line: a name, a flight, a table number, a sale. Big letters beat clever wording. A dark background, one color, and Fullscreen Play are enough for a concert aisle or an airport rail.
Keep the Text short enough to finish before it leaves the screen. If you need two ideas, make two banners and switch, or pick a Template that already has the tone.
Hold the device in landscape. A banner read from across a hall wants the widest line the screen can give it, and portrait spends most of that width on nothing.
Size the Text for the distance
Readable distance is the setting people get wrong most often. Sign makers work from a rough rule: every centimeter of capital-letter height buys a bit over a meter of comfortable reading distance. A phone held up in a crowd gives letters around two centimeters tall, which carries across an aisle but not across a concourse. A tablet on a stand roughly doubles that, and a laptop on a counter is read from a step away, so it can afford a longer line.
The distance decides the Text, not the other way round. Up close there is room for a sentence. Across a hall there is room for a name. Writing the sentence first and shrinking it until it fits is how you end up with a banner nobody reads.
Walk to where your reader will actually stand and look at the Preview from there, then put screen brightness to full. A shop window in daylight and a lit concourse both eat contrast that looked fine at your desk.
Store, event, and stream banners
A shop leaves this tab on a spare phone. A volunteer shares the URL so every steward shows the same Text. A streamer loads the Preview in a browser source. That walkthrough is on its own page, because the OBS built-in scroll filter is a different how-to.
Web maker, app, hardware, or print
A banner can come from four places. The free fast one is not automatically the right one.
| Route | Cost | Ready in | Change the words | Survives outdoors |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| This page | Free | A minute | Type over it | Only as well as the screen does |
| LED banner app | Free to a few dollars | A download | Inside the app | Same as the phone |
| Hardware LED sign | Hundreds and up | An order and a mount | Through its own controller | Yes, that is the point of it |
| Printed banner | Tens and up | A print shop run | Reprint it | Yes, until the weather turns |
Why a web maker instead of an LED banner app
Use an app when you want an icon on the home screen and no browser chrome around the Preview. Use this page when you do not want another install, when you need to send a link so several people show the same Text, or when the screen is a laptop that will never visit an app store.
Use a vendor when the sign has to survive weather and run unattended for months. This tool is for the screen you already own and can put somewhere useful today.
