A phone sign has to survive being read from a distance, in the dark, by someone who is also watching a stage. That means very few words, very high contrast, and a size that fills the screen. A name works. An inside joke works. A paragraph does not.
Before you go, set it up and lock it in. Load the text, start Fullscreen Play, then turn the auto-lock off and the brightness up. The most common failure at a show is not the sign — it is a screen that dims or sleeps in the middle of the song you were waiting for.
Battery is the other one. A bright screen scrolling for three hours will drain a phone, so either bring a power bank or hold the sign up only when it matters. Nothing about this needs signal once the page is open, which is what makes a browser tab workable in a venue where the network is saturated.
Concert Event
Concert banners are names and set times, held in landscape. If you are in the crowd, the phone is the sign. Keep the Text to what someone should shout back.
