A stream overlay is sized for a browser source, not for a room. Around 1920 by 200 gives you a bottom bar that sits under the action without covering faces, and it scales predictably when a viewer watches at half size.
Score lines and now-playing strips want the opposite of a shop sign. Keep the contrast lower and the speed slower, because your viewer is trying to watch something else at the same time and a bright fast ticker pulls attention away from the thing they came for.
This runs as a browser source rather than as OBS's own scroll filter, which is the point: the filter stutters at certain speeds and there is no clean way to fix it from inside OBS. Point the browser source at the Editor in fullscreen and you get the scroll handled outside of OBS entirely.
Game Stream
Stream overlays should sit in a reserved strip, not over faces. One command or one status line. For OBS, add the Preview as a browser source instead of using OBS’s own scroll filter.
